“Hello everyone! It’s that time of the year, it’s time for the Annual Pony Prom! This years dates are July 7th-9th, its all weekend!
Our location this year is Canterlot! We’ve been allowed access to the royal gardens where our main activites will be, but you’re all free to roam around the beauitful city for the best pictures and dates.
How to prom? It’s simple! First, invite a person to prom. Go to their blog, and send an invitation. If they accepted, you have a partner! If not, try another person! It’s also fine to come alone.
What then? Have fun! Draw each other, write what you’re doing, plan out the weekend for the two, RP, do whatever you want to make it fun for you!
Submit drawings and stories to the blog, and I’ll publish them, or you can post them to your own blog and use the tag “Pony Prom 2017”, as that is the tag I’ll track this year.
Remember, everyone is welcome no matter the species!

Something to keep fans occupied till the next update. This is “Diane’s Theme” for the blog The Clone That Got Away, written and composed by a good friend of mine Pennoink (Go check out his work here: http://pennoink.tumblr.com/).
Originally I was saving this for a possible Clone dub series, but seeing as how that’s unlikely to happen anytime soon I’d figure I would post it now.
The theme was inspired by the work of the late James Horner, known for composing many favorite movies but the ones in particular I cited for Penn to get an idea of what I wanted were An American Tail, Land Before Time and most notably the 1995 live action adaption of Casper (in fact you may notice several similarities between this piece of music and the track “Casper’s Lullaby”). I specifically mentioned him because I wanted Diane’s theme to have a similar tone to the early Don Bluth films, one that acknowledges that the character goes through a lot of sadness and heartbreak on their journey, but still has a feeling of optimism and that everything will be okay in the end.
With this month marking the second anniversary of his death it seemed like another appropriate reason to post this homage to him. Thank you for the many years of wonderful music James Horner. Hope Casper is keeping you company.
The next update is currently being worked on and should be out pretty soon. Though I’ll be posting something here related to the blog very soon. Not a post but something fans will definitely enjoy.
Okay after doing some tests a few nights ago I’ve found out a few things:
*Yes it is true that posts with regular links to non-tumblr sites won’t show up in searches.
*Posts to a page on your tumblr blog with links to non-tumblr sites will show up in the search.
*However what I find more interesting is if you make tumblr re-direct links through your customize blog page to non-tumblr sites and put them in your posts those posts will still appear on Tumblr search. Special thanks to Adurot for pointing this out to me via Clone That got Away. Here’s a link to the reblog that explains how to do it.
I’ll probably most likely be going with the third option for future art and comic posts.
Update: Turns out this doesn’t work. Or at least, not as well as it should. Yes the posts with the custom links do show up in the searches eventually, but only a few days to a week after you post them (either that or there’s something wrong with my posts).
Just to be safe I’m not going to include links in my future posts for the time being.

Bad news: I haven’t heard back from the job I was interviewed for.
Good news: None at the moment.

CRITICAL UPDATE:
It’s now the middle of the month. Job searching has not been going well, I’m not sure what’s going to happen and it’s really making me anxious and unhappy.
I have to pay $600 for rent by the end of the month, and I am close to being flat broke, not mentioning the other payments that need to be made at the same time.
To those who have helped me in the past, please consider helping me again at this time. I need it, I sincerely do.

okay i know ive posted alot about this just now, but now that ive got it more or less figured out I’m gonna make a better post here and include the tags relevent to my interactions in it to ensure no one else in my fandoms/communities are blindsided like i was.

CONTENT CREATORS: TUMBLR IS HIDING YOUR POSTS!
If you make a post with external links, your post will be hidden from searches. If you make a post and link to your redbubble, no one can search for your post. If you make art and link it to your deviantart or artstation, no one can search for you post. If you make any post and just throw on a “hey here is where you find me!” no one can search that post. If you want to recommend a fic or a youtube video, no one can search your post, if you… hell you get the idea. Tumblr has completely shut down content creators on this hellsite and its fucking infuriating.
Edit:
I have just confirmed that the post type “Link” also does not show up in the tags. Thats right, there is an ENTIRE TYPE OF TUMBLR POST that cannot be searched. G-FUCKING-G TUMBLR.
WHAT TO DO?
It shuts down posts with external links, so at first i assumed internal links would be fine. and they are. if you make a page on your tumblr blog called like /links or something you can certainly link to that. But in that way you run into an issue, tumblr mobile is a piece of shit and cant load tumblr pages, and itll just take you back to the mainblog any time you try.
The best solution ive found so far is put all your relevent links in your blog description like so:
and then in every content post, call tumblr out for being a piece of shit and direct them to the links in your blog description.
Edit: In the top right hand side of photo posts you can click on it and include a single link as “source” that should work if you have one link neccessary. though if you need more you are still SOL.
CONTENT CREATOR SUPPORTERS
It is important now more than ever on this hellsite that you try to support your artist and content creators, reblog as much as possible, look to find them on websites off this piece of shit, and generally do your best to spread the word and support them, since tumblr itself is trying to silence them!
Holy shit. Now I know why no one is commenting on my videos. I upload them to YouTube because tumblr won’t play them.
Glad other people notice that too! Made two posts about that issue on April this year. It is infuriating how bad Tumblr’s search engine is!

Hey folks have you ever wanted to see your OC character make a background cameo in The Clone That Got Away? Well now’s your chance because I’m now offering a new reward on my on my patreon that will allow your character to be added to a catalog of background characters to that will be used in various scenes on the blog for $8 or more a month.
Here’s how it works, just go to my Patreon page (create an account if you haven’t yet), select the $8 reward (if you select a higher reward your OC will still be added to the background character catalog), then at the end of the month after you’ve been charged I’ll send you a message asking for an image reference of your OC and then your character will be part of the background character backlog. Though if you decide to stop donating your character will be taken out of the backlog (it’s okay, I won’t judge).
Now I can’t promise a background cameo for your OC every month (cause on this blog there aren’t always storylines that take place in locations that have a lot of opportunities for background characters), but I will promise at least one background cameo for every patron that donates for at least one month, so that if you decide to stop donating after one month your OC will still get at least one background cameo in the blog.
