As you may have known I an currently in college and I’m busy with my assignments for classes, which means I unfortunately don’t have as much time as I previously had to finish updates.
Now I know what some of you are thinking, “Oh no! Not another Hiatus!”
Well not necessarily. With the blog being over three years old (going on four) and recently hitting 3,000 followers I think now is the perfect opportunity to do this so without further ado I am proud to announce the very first…
That’s right folks I’m doing a guest artist run! This way the blog can still keep doing updates without worrying about overworking myself. I just finished writing a smaller mini-chapter (though it will still count as part of the current chapter) that will be used for this guest run. There are a few updates in the mini-chapter which are not written yet but that’s because those updates are Q-and-A posts that I need asks for (after some upcoming story events) before I can write them.
The total of updates in this run will be around 14 (and around 17 comic pages). Also I have already pretty much finished writing the script for the chapter after this one so during this guest artist run I can get a head start on drawing that chapter whenever I have free time.
Now of course for this guest artist run I am going to need volunteer artists from the many followers of this blog.
So here are a few notes and rules for those who want to try out for being a guest artist:
1. Unfortunately you won’t get paid for participating in the guest artist run. I’m sorry, I really do wish I could pay people but that’s unfortunately not in the cards right now. This is overall meant to be something that people can do for fun if they wish, but if they don’t want to for any reason that is perfectly fine.
2. You need to know how to draw ponies (obviously).
3. You need to know how to draw backgrounds (not all of the guest posts will be background heavy but I’m still having this as a requirement because knowing how to draw backgrounds is important either way).
4. You need to be able to finish an update by a certain due date (little extensions are fine if needed or if something comes up, but nothing over a week after the said due date).
5. Updates can be drawn as either comic pages or separate frames for the files.
7. Be sure to tell me what your specialities are when it comes to drawing, I would like to pick an update that is best suited for your talents.
8. Please tell me if you are willing to draw more than one guest update (saying yes or no will not guarantee or loose you a spot, but it would be handy to know).
9. Let me know the best way to contact you (whether it be Tumblr, email, or Skype).
10. Do not share any WIP images or story info early to anyone. After the updates go public, go nuts.
Submissions for guest artists will be taken until October 29th 2016. Afterwords I will look through them and soon afterwords make an announcement on which artists are excepted for to be part of the guest artist run.
If you have any more questions feel free to send a message on my mod or art blog.
